Summer is here and the tourism season is in full bloom. It is time again to see the fancy signs proclaiming: “Jordan is prettier” (Al Urdun A7la). These signs are here and there, often featuring images of historic sites or smiling Jordanians (!).
My problem with the “Jordan is Prettier” advertisement is that it presents the question: Jordan is prettier… than what? Is the advertisement afraid to name names lest there be a case to answer to?…Continue
